It’s official, the royal couple is expecting their first child together.

Kensington Palace confirmed the big news on Twitter Monday morning, just after the couple arrived in Australia for their first royal tour.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.

The news comes just five months after Megan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding on May 19, and royal fans have been eagerly waiting for this announcement ever since.

Kensington Palace says the happy couple appreciates all of the support they’ve received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are “delighted” to share this happy news with the public.

The couple first began dating in summer 2016 and made their first official appearance as a couple at the Invictus Games in Toronto.

Baby Sussex will be seventh in line for the throne behind Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Prince Harry.
