Country fans, get ready! Rising country-pop star Maren Morris is coming to Abbotsford this September as part of her RSVP: The Tour tour.
The 29-year-old singer, songwriter, and record producer from Texas has been making history with her chart-topping hits.
Her song “The Bones” was her fourth single to hit number one on the charts and made her the first solo female to have two consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard Country Airplay chart since 2012.
Her incredibly catchy and empowering single “GIRL” also topped the charts last summer, breaking the record for the largest debut streaming week for a country album by a woman with 23.96 million streams.
Last year was a big year for Morris, when she was the most nominated artist of the 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards and took home Album of the Year. Her critically-acclaimed album GIRL was featured on Best of 2019 lists by Rolling Stone, Billboard, Esquire, GQ, People, Vice, Paste, Stereogum, and Uproxx. Variety declared the album “the best as well as most important mainstream country-star album of the year.”
Morris’ RSVP: The Tour kicks off on March 7 in Houston, alongside James Arthur and Caitlyn Smith, and includes Canadian stops in Abbotsford, Calgary, and Montreal, before ending on October 17 in Los Angeles.
