Metro Vancouver restaurant to close after "18 unforgettable years"
The restaurant industry can be fickle, and unfortunately, a nearly two-decade-old West Vancouver restaurant has announced it will be closing in the new year.
Mangia E Bevi shared the news of its impending closure on Instagram.
“From day one, our mission was simple â bring a piece of Italy to West Vancouver. What we didnât expect was how many incredible memories, friendships, and shared moments would come with it,” wrote co-owners Rob Parrott and Doug Grisdale.

“To everyone who has sat at our tables, celebrated milestones with us, supported us through every season, and became part of our Mangia E Bevi family â thank you. Youâve made this journey one we will never forget.”
Mangia E Bevi is best known for its classic, no frills Italian fare. Its menu features fan-favourite options like Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe, Piccata Di Pollo, Tiramisu, and more.

The restaurant will be closing its doors on Jan. 1, 2026, meaning there’s still time to stop in for one last meal. However, the restaurant is urging patrons to make reservations sooner rather than later, as tables are being booked up quickly.
“December reservations are filling up faster than ever. If youâd like to join us one more time, weâd love to serve you,” concluded the restaurant.
Many took to the comments of the Instagram post to share how much they’d miss the restaurant.
“The saddest news. Thank you, Doug, Rob and crew for the wonderful food and all that you brought to West Vancouver,” said one person.
“You guys and this restaurant have been a part of some huge and major celebrations in our lives. We will miss this place deeply, but happy for you both to take some time to relax and enjoy your lives. We know who to call when the cravings kick in. Congrats Rob and Doug. We will miss this place but we will see you both around,” added another.
“You will be missed. You have been a part of this community for 18 years. Many great memories and wishing you both the best in your next chapter,” said a third.
