Man dies on Grouse Grind

A North Vancouver man has died after he had a heart attack on the Grouse Grind.

According to the North Shore News, the 55-year-old man was at the three-quarter mark when firefighters were called at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. District of North Vancouver Fire Department posted on social media that they had made contact at around 10:30 a.m.

“[District firefighters] went up there and they basically pronounced him dead on trail, and we are assisting for removal at this point,” North Vancouver RCMP spokesman Richard De Jong to told the North Shore News.

He didn’t say what condition the body was in or the exact location on the trail.
