Two transit police officers are both currently self-isolating at home, following a reported incident at the New Westminster SkyTrain Station over the weekend.
Transit Police Sgt. Clint Hampton told Daily Hive the incident took place at 2 pm on March 21, when police were called to the area for reports of a man threatening a SkyTrain station attendant, as well as a member of the public, with a knife.
Police arrived on the scene and arrested the individual, but not before the officers said the suspect started “intentionally coughing and spitting at officers.”
