Arrest made after 19-year-old wakes up to stranger in Vancouver apartment

Police in Vancouver recently arrested a man who broke into a 19-year-old woman’s apartment.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says that the victim was woken up just after midnight, when the suspect, who was unknown to her, allegedly grabbed her wrist.

“She screamed and ran out of her bedroom, and her roommate called police,” VPD says.

When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect was reportedly found lying in the woman’s bed.

“He resisted arrest and a taser was used to take him into custody.”

The suspect was arrested for break and enter and assault and was taken to jail.
