The Vancouver Police Department has confirmed an overnight stabbing at a nightclub at the Plaza of Nations.
Police arrived at 1:30 a.m., Thursday, May 7 to attend to a male who had been stabbed in the stomach.
“The 23-year-old man was uncooperative with the investigation and our officers. He was taken to hospital and treated for what was described as a minor injury,” VPD Constable Brian Montague said.
There have been at least five stabbings in Metro Vancouver in the past four weeks, including at a Downtown Eastside Church, New Westminster SkyTrain station, Metrotown Mall, the Commercial Drive Street Party and in Surrey.
