Macaron Day was created several years ago by Pierre Hermes out of Paris. The general premise was that you would come into the shop, receive a free macaron and in turn make a donation to a charity.
For Vancouver’s third annual Macaron Day, French Made Baking and Soirette will join worldwide celebration on Thursday, March 20. Their charity of choice will the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and Make a Wish Foundation.
Macaron Day 2014 Vancouver Locations
Location: 81 Kingsway, Vancouver
Hours: 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Location: 1433 West Pender, Vancouver
Hours: 10:00am to 7:00pm.

Additionally, Bel Cafe will be introducing a new macaron flavour this Friday March 14th and they want you to choose the next flavour on their Facebook page. Vote and you’ll be eligible to win a $25 gift card. Proceeds from macaron sales on Macaron Day will benefit the Food Bank.
