The eatery has been open just over a year and was known for their veggie menu full of eats like chickpea fritters, guac and chips, and of course, a variety of tasty tacos from fried cheese to pasilla BBQ jackfruit kinds.

Opening in the former Lolita’s space in June 2017, the 30-seat taco spot was a popular one in the West End and will surely be missed.

Here’s the full message from the Lucha Verde team:

It’s been fun. Super fun. All kinds of fun, but after this Saturday night, Lucha Verde will be closed. We made a lot of tacos and a lot friends along the way (hint – if you want to make friends, make them tacos). We’d love to have you down tonight, Friday, and/or Saturday night for the all-veg menu and a (possibly teary) goodbye. Thanks for all your love and support!!

With three more nights of service left, patrons can head here from 5 pm to 10 pm tonight (July 19) and from 5 to midnight on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21.
