$60 million Lotto Max ticket sold in Ontario

Someone in Brampton, Ontario became $60 million richer as of Friday night after Lotto Max’s historic draw. The jackpot was the largest prize in Lotto Max’s six year history.

The winning numbers for the $60 million draw are: 01, 07, 15, 18, 21, 30, 45, and bonus 22.

In addition, there were 27 separate Maxmillion draws, each worth $1 million. A total of 15 Maxmillion prizes were won, but none of them were in British Columbia. According to the B.C. Lottery Corporation, six were sold in Ontario, five in Quebec, five in the Prairies and three in the Maritimes.

The next Lotto Max jackpot on Friday, October 2 will be worth $22 million.

The largest jackpot in Canadian lottery history was the $63.4 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot in 2013. The prize was shared among four winners.

The odds of winning Lotto Max per $5 play are:

  • 7/7 numbers (87% of the share of the pool): 1 in 28,633,528
  • 6/7+ numbers (4% of the share of the pool): 1 in 4,090,504
  • 6/7 numbers (4% of the share of the pool): 1 in 99,768
  • 5/7 numbers (5% of the share of the pool): 1 in 1,584
  • 4/7 numbers ($20): 1 in 71.3
  • 3/7+ numbers ($20): 1 in 76.7
  • 3/7 ($5 free play): 1 in 8.1
  • Overall: odds of winning any cash prize per $5 play are 1 in 36.
