
A massive Lotto Max jackpot win has transformed one Canadian lottery player’s life, making them a multimillionaire overnight.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, Sept. 30, and the winning numbers were 14, 22, 27, 31, 33, 39, and 50, with bonus number 07. According to Atlantic Lottery, someone who purchased their ticket in Miramichi, N.B., matched the seven winning numbers, netting themselves the $15-million jackpot.
Another lottery player scored the second prize after they matched six of the winning numbers and the bonus number. The ticket was sold in Ontario, and the winner will take home a $136,351.10 prize.
The third prize was split between 30 Canadians who matched six of the seven winning numbers, and each of them will receive their share worth $4,545.
In B.C., two people matched the Lotto Max Extra winning numbers 36, 56, 66, and 67. The tickets were sold in Surrey and Delta, and according to PlayNow, each winner will receive the full amount of $500,000. In Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore prize.
The last time someone won the Lotto Max jackpot was on Tuesday, Sept. 23, when a lottery player from B.C. won the $31-million prize. The winner purchased their ticket online.
The next Lotto Max draw is scheduled for Friday, October 3, and the prize is worth $10 million.

No one won the Gold Ball prize worth $26 million during the Lotto 6/49 draw that took place on Saturday, Sept. 27. However, a lottery player in Ontario scored the White Ball prize worth $1 million.
Another Canadian became a multimillionaire over the weekend after winning the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw top prize. The winning numbers were 01, 07, 15, 19, 36, 40, and bonus 47. The winner matched all six numbers to score the $5 million prize. According to WCLC, the ticket was sold in Saskatoon.
Someone in Quebec scored the second prize worth $193,509.90, while 78 people across Canada won the third prize. Each will take home their share worth $1,041.70.
No one in B.C. won the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000. However, someone in Ontario will take home the $1-million Encore prize.
Quebec resident Claude Boucher is the most recent Lotto 6/49 jackpot winner. Boucher won the Gold Ball Jackpot of $46 million in the Aug. 27 Lotto 6/49 draw.
The day after the draw, he discovered his lottery win in an email.
“I was scrolling quickly and I thought, ‘$46,000 isn’t too bad! But what are all those zeros? Oh, it’s $46,000,000!’” Boucher recalled.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, Oct. 1, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $28 million.
