Someone in Canada has just won the jackpot — a $70 million jackpot to be exact.

According to the Ontario Lotto Group (OLG), a single winning ticket for the January 7 draw of the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot was sold in Brampton, Ontario.

“Once the ticket holder(s) comes forward to claim their prize, this will be the biggest lottery prize ever awarded in Canadian history!” notes OLG.

In addition to the whopping main prize, there are 25 MAXMILLIONS prizes so be sure to check your ticket, because you could still be a winner.

Lotto Max is a nationwide lottery game with winners drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The previous record for the largest lottery jackpot in Canadian history was a paltry $64 million prize in Lotto 6/49 in 2015.
