Vancouver Coastal Health gave the London Drugs store at Granville and Georgia the all-clear to re-open Sunday after an employee was diagnosed with COVID-19.

The store re-opened at 9 am March 29, the company said in a news release.

“Thank you to our patients and customers for your patience and understanding,” it said.

The was closed on Saturday, March 27 after an employee who last worked in the store on March 18 tested positive for the coronavirus. The employee was asymptomatic when they were at work, and is currently self-isolated at home, the company said in a statement Saturday.

“We realize there will be concern amongst our staff and customers and we want you to know your health and safety remains our highest priority,” London Drugs said.

The store underwent a deep clean while it was closed, and the local health authority has approved it to open again.
