An employee at a London Drugs store location in downtown Vancouver has tested positive for COVID-19.

The staff member worked at the London Drugs on 710 Granville Street, located at the intersection of West Georgia Street and Granville Street in the Central Business District.

This individual last worked in the store on March 18, 2020, was asymptomatic at the time and is currently self-isolated in their home,” reads a statement from the company.

“We realize there will be concern amongst our staff and customers and we want you to know your health and safety remains our highest priority.”

The store explains that cleaning measures such as hourly surface cleans and sanitation of customer touchpoints were implemented since the onset of the coronavirus in Vancouver.

London Drugs also says that the location is closed until further notice and that they’re working with Vancouver Coastal Health to “ensure that all protocols are being followed.”

They plan to open at a later date when it is safe to do so.
