The Vancouver Goldeneyes’ first-ever regular season game is coming up this Friday.
And, for those who won’t be able to watch the game in person at the Pacific Coliseum, we now know which voice you’ll hear on the broadcasts.
Longtime Vancouver radio personality James Cybulski announced on Tuesday that he’s been named as part of the Goldeneyes broadcast team for its inaugural PWHL season.
Cybulski has been around the Vancouver sports scene for nearly 20 years. He had previous stops at TSN and Sportsnet, which included a gig as the morning radio host on Sportsnet 650 from 2017 until 2021, when Mike Halford and Jason Brough took over that time slot.
More recently, Cybulski was the first play-by-play broadcaster for the Abbotsford Canucks. He’s also been the play-by-play voice of the EA NHL video game series since 2020.
Excited to announce that I’ll be joining the @thepwhlofficial broadcast team for the 2025-26 season. Absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to be calling live games for the @PWHL__Vancouver Goldeneyes. Can’t wait to get started! pic.twitter.com/mPj0Vh26KX

Not only do the Vancouver Goldeneyes have their broadcast voice for the upcoming season, but they’ve also let fans know how they can watch them on television and streaming platforms.
The expansion PWHL team will have its games broadcast on four different platforms throughout the year. Here’s the breakdown by platform.
- TSN: 12 games (including home opener this Friday)
- CBC: seven games
- Prime Video: six games
- Sportsnet: five games
Amazon Prime will begin PWHL matchups every Tuesday night on its platform. All six of the Goldeneyes’ games on Prime will take place on a Tuesday.
CBC is advertising that it will broadcast Saturday games. Six of the seven games on CBC take place on a Saturday, with the one outlier taking place on Sunday, Jan. 25, as part of the PWHL Takeover.
TSN is the primary broadcaster for the PWHL and the Goldeneyes. They will broadcast 12 of the 30 games this season. If the Goldeneyes live up to their preseason hype and make the PWHL Finals, those games will be aired on TSN as well.
For any fans living outside of Canada, Czechia or Slovakia, PWHL games will be broadcast on their YouTube channel.
