Two of Metro Vancouver’s largest architectural visualization companies have merged together to become the largest and most specialized creative visual studio in Western Canada.

In a release, Vancouver-based LNG Studios announced today it has acquired DG Group, which includes DG Works and DG Prints. This deal allows LNG Studio to provide a wider range of services and further propel the firm’s capacity for innovation, effectively cementing the company as a fully integrated real estate marketing firm from concept to completion.

LNG Studios is best known for 3D architectural renderings — working with developers and architects to bring to life real estate projects from blueprints. In more recent years, it has grown its portfolio to include virtual reality and augmented reality content creation.

On the other hand, DG Group’s expertise focuses on 3D architectural renderings, animations, 3D printing for design study, and presentation centre-scale models.

“Over the years, we’ve had friendly competition and the utmost respect for DG Group, so this acquisition was a natural evolution to our business growth as we looked to provide a stronger, better integrated offering for our clients who rely on us to be the experts on prop tech,” said Leon Ng, CEO and founder of LNG Studios, in a statement.

He adds that the acquisition supports LNG Studio’s larger growth strategy of expanding into the Eastern Canada market through the recent opening of a Toronto office, and its investment into new technologies, including projection mapping and digital intelligence.

“We’re in the business of uncovering the latest tech innovations and packaging them through practical applications for our clients. With this new addition of capabilities and talent, our pace of innovation will be faster than ever,” continued Ng.

The acquisition now provides LNG Studios with an expanded capacity for 3D renderings, virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D printing; both existing teams will be integrated, which will double their headcount and production capacity.

LNG Studios’ key clients include Concord Pacific, Holborn Group, Ledingham Mcallister, Beedie, Onni, Shape, and British Pacific Properties, while DG Works’ past major clients entail Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership, IBI Group, Westbank, Coromandel, Intracorp Homes, James Cheng Architects, Oxford Properties, and Gryphon Development.
