One of Metro Vancouver’s most beloved holiday traditions has returned for another season, and organizers have something special planned for this weekend.

Lights at Lafarge, the region’s largest free outdoor winter lights display, is illuminating Coquitlam with over 100,000 twinkling lights until the end of February.

And on Saturday, December 21, you can help set a festive new world record at Town Centre Park!

The City of Coquitlam is hosting its annual Jingle Bells night from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

Guests can enjoy a family-friendly evening of live entertainment, carolling groups, mascot photo ops, reindeer games, and visits with Santa. The event is hosted by the City’s Park Spark Light Brigade team and guest hosts Qualex-Landmark.

The highlight of the evening is the world record-setting attempt for the largest group singing Jingle Bells in unison. The City of Coquitlam set the current high score on RecordSetter.com in 2023 with over 1,000 voices. And organizers are hopeful they can break their own total on Saturday.
