
Canadaās magicalĀ CP Holiday Train is finally arriving in Metro Vancouver this week, and drivers and commuters are being warned of road closures when the festive celebration comes to town.
The 26th edition of the Holiday Train is making several highly anticipated stops near Vancouver on Thursday, December 19 and Friday, December 20.
Fans can see the massive, brightly decorated train while helping to support local food banks. But you may want to leave your car at home.

The magical train has visited over 160 communities across Canada since it began in November. It will have travelled over 10,000 km over three weeks to arrive in Metro Vancouver to delight children of all ages.
The first Lower Mainland stop is in Agassiz on December 19 from 5:45 to 6:15 pm at Agra Center Pioneer Avenue and Pioneer Road.
It will then head to Maple Ridge the same evening, with the train arriving at 8 pm across from the Billy Miner Pub at 22355 River Road.
You can next see the Canadian Holiday Train in Pitt Meadows for a 9:05 pm arrival and a festive concert at Harris Road and Advent Road.
The City of Pitt Meadows is urging commuters to watch for signage about the temporary closures on Harris Road. The rail crossing will also be closed from approximately 8 to 10 pm on December 19.

CP Holiday Train
On December 20, the decked-out train will visit Port Moody, stopping in Trasolini Field behind the Port Moody Recreation Complex at 300 Ioco Road at 5:45 pm.
The whole cross-country rail tour wraps up with a final festive party in Port Coquitlam at Kingsway Avenue between Mary Hill Road and Wilson Avenue at 7:15 pm.
The City of Port Coquitlam has announced that Kingsway Avenue between Mary Hill Road and Wilson Avenue will be closed from 3 to 9 pm.Ā
Drivers are also warned that the West Coast Express parking lot will be closed for the CP Holiday Train event. Free parking will be available at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre and the Kingsway Avenue and Wilson Avenue parking lot.
Attendees at each CP Holiday Train stop will enjoy a free and festive concert by Juno winners Magic! and fast-rising star Sofia Camara.
