It’s the brightest time of the year at West Vancouver’s Park Royal Mall.

On Friday, November 22, the mall will be hosting Light Up The Village & Santa’s Arrival. The annual event takes place from 5 to 9 pm at the Park Royal Village and will include a 65-foot-tall ferris wheel, live music, holiday dancing, and axe throwing.

Families will also be able to enjoy child-friendly events such as face painting, balloon twisting, and a visit from Santa, among many other seasonal activities.

Expect some of Vancouver’s most popular food trucks to make an appearance: Chick Pea, Japadog, Mr. Bannock, Potato Tornado, Tacofino, The Praguery, and Triple O’s will all be in attendance.

A number of Park Royal’s retailers will also be participating, including Chatime, Dairy Queen, Orange Julius, Freshii, Starbucks, Trattoria, and Whole Foods.

The countdown to the lighting takes place at 6:45 pm. While the event is free to attend, ferris wheel rides will cost a $5 minimum donation, and other activities will require a $2 donation.
