LGBTQ2+ micro-weddings are taking place at City Hall this week
A number of LGBTQ2+ micro-weddings will be taking place today to mark the start of Pride Week 2020 in Vancouver.
Six outdoor mini-weddings will be held at City Hall. The ceremonies will take place at Helena Gutteridge Plaza, an outdoor venue located on the north side of City Hall.

Each ceremony will have a maximum of 10 participants, including the couple, officiant, witnesses, and guests.
To further mark the start of Pride Week in Vancouver, several pride-themed flags will also be raised at City Hall. The micro weddings and flag raising are just the start of a week-long series of events being hosted by the Vancouver Pride Society (VPS).
Dozens of virtual events will take place between July 27 and August 2, including a virtual Pride parade stream, a Pride edition of the Public Disco, a queer writers showcase, and a talent show with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, to name a few.
Additionally, a Downtown Pride Art Walk will take place from July 20 to August 3.
