Meet the 8 speakers headlining the Level Up: Executive Leadership Conference

This fall, the Level Up: Executive Leadership Conference will take to BC, bringing a prolific lineup of guest speakers.

The one-day conference will be held in Kelowna, designed for anyone that aspires to be a business leader, whether they’re a start-up entrepreneur or a C-suite executive.

Speakers for this year’s event come from a variety of backgrounds, including the restaurant industry, entertainment and media, sports, technology, and not to mention, two former Canadian Prime Ministers.

Each speaker of the event provides leadership experiences, practices, and methodologies that can instantly be put into practice.

Here’s a closer look at the eight speakers headlining this year’s conference:

Darren Hardy

In addition to being an often sought-after keynote speaker, Hardy is a New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, and former publisher and editor of SUCCESS magazine.

He’s also led three successful television networks to produce more than 1,000 shows.

Walter Bond

Walter Bond

Walter Bond, dubbed “The Accountability Leader,” is known on many accounts, the first being his eight-year tenure in the NBA, where he was a shooting guard for the Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, and Detroit Pistons.

He also appeared as the host of The Food Network’s show, Giving You The Business.

Now, he’s passionate about peak performance on both an individual and company-wide level.

Janet Zuccarini

Janet Zuccarini

Janet Zuccarini is the sole owner behind the Gusto 54 restaurant group and a powerhouse entrepreneur in the restaurant industry. She’s opened numerous restaurants, some of which have been featured on Esquire as “#1 Best New Restaurant in America” and LA Weekly’s “Best Restaurants in LA.”

In addition to several accolades, she’s the first woman in Canada to become an AVPN-certified Pizzaiola and is featured as a Restaurant Judge in Top Chef Canada’s All-Stars Season 5, as well as Top Chef Canada Season 6 and 7.

Omar Johnson is an entrepreneur, marketing and branding keynote speaker, and a former CMO at Beats by Dre and former VP of Marketing at Apple.

During his time at Beats, Johnson grew the company from a $180 million to a $1.1 billion global icon, becoming the #1 premium headphone in North America, UK, France, Germany, South Korea, and Singapore.

He’s also led marketing programs for international brands such as Nike, Coca Cola, Kraft Foods, and Campbell Soup.

Adweek named Johnson a “Brand Genius” in 2013, and Business Insider named him one of the “Most Innovative CMOs” in 2016.

Cybele Negris

Cybele Negris

Cybele Negris is an entrepreneur, seasoned board member, speaker, mentor, and columnist.

She’s the CEO and Co-founder of Webnames.ca, Canada’s original .CA registrar, which provides hundreds of domains, including corporations, government, law firms, and Fortune 500 brands.

Cybele also serves on the board, audit, and HR committees of the Royal Canadian Mint, the board of BCAA, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, and Science World.

Some of her accolades include being a Hall of Fame Inductee of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women and nine-time winner of PROFIT W100.

Lane Merrifield

He’s also launched FreshGrade, a learning assessment tool that connects teachers, parents, and students, as well as Wheelhouse, an organization that invests in and supports early-stage tech companies.

The Right Honourable Jean Chrétien was trained as a lawyer before serving as Canada’s 20th Prime Minister. At the conference, he’ll discuss today’s most pressing global and geopolitical concerns, and discuss themes such as globalization, the world economy, security, and social issues.

The Right Honourable Stephen Harper

The Right Honourable Stephen Harper served as Canada’s 22nd Prime Minister from 2006 to 2015, the longest-serving Conservative Leader since Canada’s founding Prime Minister passed away in 1891.

During his time in office, Prime Minister Harper oversaw trade negotiations, served as an ally to developing economies, and encouraged market liberalization.

There are five levels of ticket options, ranging from general admission tickets at $499 to premium VIP tickets at $1,599.

The 2019 Level Up conference will take place on September 27, 2019, from 7:45 am to 5:15 pm.
