Learn about the importance of connections at Here 2 There

Dec 20 2017, 3:06 am

Our life is defined by our connections to others, and to the world around us. Explore those connections at Here 2 There 2.0.

Presented by Vancouver business leaders Sam Thiara and Mike Schauch, Here-2-There 2.0 features a mixture of keynote addresses, photography, music, and film to examine the connections people make, and how they change us.

The keynote talk will be given by Tzeporah Berman, a Canadian environmental activist, writer, and York University professor currently working as a strategic advisor to a number of First Nations, environmental organizations, and philanthropic foundations on climate and energy issues, including the oil sands and pipelines. She was appointed this year to the B.C. Government Climate Leadership Team, and tasked with making policy recommendations to meet B.C.’s legislated climate targets.

There will also be talk by members of the creative team behind Colours of Edziza, a film that explores the stories of a member of the Tahltan Nation looking to pass his teachings on to the new generation, and a West Coast mountaineer and business professional looking for a new adventure while exploring his own connection to the land.

Tickets are available now and can be purchased online via Picatic.
