There are so many important things happening in the world right now, but the only thing the Internet currently cares about is if you are #TeamLaurel or #TeamYanny.
If you have no idea what this is about, you might want to check out this meme that is currently taking over the Internet.
What do you hear?! Yanny or Laurel pic.twitter.com/jvHhCbMc8I

This recording has people torn over whether the robotic voice is saying Yanny or Laurel.
No joke, people are losing it.

The battle of Yanny or Laurel is reminiscent of the Blue or Gold Dress debacle that shook the Internet back in 2015.
People were freaking out trying to figure out if this dress was blue or yellow.
I’m flashing back to the white and gold dress or the blue and black dress, y’all. . .and I want to know if the people hearing Yanny saw a blue and black dress and the people hearing Laurel saw a white and gold one. pic.twitter.com/aBWpWJwzn6

And of course, there are already theories about why some of us hear “Yanny” while others hear “Laurel.”
According to this tweet, what you hear is based the sound levels. If you adjust the sound, you can apparently hear both.
you can hear both when you adjust the bass levels: pic.twitter.com/22boppUJS1

While I wanted to give a balanced journalistic perspective to this debate, it’s hard for me not to chime in.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am 100% #TeamLaurel for life.
Editor’s Note: In spite of what is written above, the clip clearly says “Yanny.”
