Lamborghini owner complains about $568 fine, can't afford insurance

Vancouver is no stranger to exotic cars, many of which are being driven by young, supposedly rich kids. Last week Richmond RCMP pulled over the 22-year old owner of a 2012 Lamborghini Aventador only to find that the owner can’t afford the insurance. What!? How can one drive a $500,000 car and not afford basic insurance.

Police pulled over the driver because of a suspected front licence plate violation.

Basic insurance for an exotic car can cost upwards to $15,000. That’s pocket change for anyone that can afford a half million dollar vehicle and live in West Vancouver.

I have a feeling no one feels sorry for this man.

This is reminiscent of the guy that crashed the Ferrari F40 in Vancouver.
