Perfectly timed for all the carb cravings caused by winter in Canada, the great French-Canadian classic is cause for celebration when La Poutine Week kicks off in Vancouver the first week of February.
“Brought to you by the geniuses behind Le Burger Week, this year, the festival is being held across Canada at 240 restaurants,” including some eateries here in Vancouver.

1. The Fable Diner Poutine from Fable Diner
A combo of fries, cheese curds, beef brisket, and a piece of seared foie gras. This creation is topped off with Foie Gras sauce gravy.

2. French Onion Poutine from The Canadian Brewhouse
A combination of double cooked crispy French fries topped with red wine glazed julienned onions, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. The dish is then smothered in house-made gravy and sprinkled with thyme, garlic salt, parsley, green onion, and garlic loaf wedges.
