Churros are obviously one of the best things to happen to fried dough in the history of food, and now Vancouver’s West End is getting their own all-churro cafe.
Called La Churreria, the spot coming to 1105 Davie Street will have, in their words, “Mexican Churros classic or filled with different options.” Can’t you just picture yourself wrapping your hands around those golden-fried rods of dough coated in cinnamon sugar?! Aw yeah!
Plus, La Churreria will also be serving up a variety of beverages to go with their fresh, piping hot churros, along with ice cream, too.
This is particularly good news about churros, considering that Hugo’s Churros, which was operating a spot in Richmond’s McArthur Glen outlet mall, closed its doors late last year (with plans to open a permanent spot in Langley).
The La Churreria location is going into the former Falafel King spot at the corner of Davie and Thurlow, just next to the Transylvanian Traditions bake shop. Keep an eye on La Churreria’s Facebook for news of their opening.
