There's a new spot for Japanese comfort food in Metro Vancouver

There’s a new spot in Metro Vancouver for teishoku, aka Japanese home cooking.
Located at #16-8671 No.1 Road in Richmond, Kyoto Takenoko offers traditional healthy Japanese comfort food like hot pot-style udon noodles, pork katsu set, and ramen to name a few.

This new spot is the sister restaurant to Takeya Sushi (8671 No 1 Rd #17, Richmond), which is located right beside the new foodie destination.

The menu is pretty large and features an array of sets with BBQ meats, noodles, and soups.
Kyoto Takenoko is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30 am to 3 pm and 5 to 9 pm.
