Last night a crowd of friends, family, and loved ones gathered at a candlelight vigil on Granville Street in memory of 23-year-old Kalwinder ‘Kris’ Thind.

Thind was killed last week while trying to break up a fight outside Granville Street’s Cabana Lounge.

According to police, the fight began in the club and moved outside. Thind, who was working at the club, was taken to hospital after being injured in the incident and succumbed to his injuries the next day.

Wellwishers brought flowers, candles, and signs to the memorial, to pay their respects to Thind.
