23-year-old Granville Street nightclub employee dies after trying to break up late night fight

Vancouver Police are investigating after a fight occurring outside a Granville Street nightclub early Saturday morning has left one man dead.

Just before 2:30 am this morning, a fight broke out inside Cabana Lounge (between Davie and Helmcken) and then moved out onto the street.

Twenty-three year old Kalwinder Thind, working at the club at the time, stepped in to break up the fight. He was taken to hospital with injuries and died this morning.

Investigators are currently trying to piece evidence together, and have arrested several individuals from the incident.
