Kafka's Coffee unveils new patio at Great Northern Way location

One of Vancouver’s favourite family of coffee spots, Kafka’s, is reopening its Great Northern Way and Gastown locations early next week.

Folks who head to the Great Northern Way outpost will spot the shop’s brand new patio, which is being unveiled just in time for some awesome weather.

The spacious 250-sq-ft patio was designed by Scott Cohen and will be welcoming guests starting June 2.

Kafka’s patrons can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and happy hour seven days a week on the new outdoor space.

Kafka’s will also be offering some stellar sips, including beer, cider, BC wines, and even whisky alongside an expanded version of Lil Bird Sandwich Co., a window sandwich bar that just opened Kafka’s Coffee on Main Street.

“We’ve been thrilled with the support Lil Bird Sandwich Co. has received at Kafka’s on Main, and look forward to seeing what head chef Nitzan Cohen has up his sleeves for Great Northern Way,” says Aaron Kafka, owner of Kafka’s Coffee.

“Think breakfast sandwiches on fresh milk buns, house-made granola, avocado toast, salads, and so much more. We hope to start creating sandwiches and picnic kits for the whole family this summer too.”

Kafka’s Coffee in Gastown will resume business on June 1.
