It’s a bit short notice, but you might want to look out for Justin Trudeau in Surrey tomorrow.
The Prime Minister will be there to show his support for Gordon Hogg, the federal Liberal candidate in the upcoming byelection in South Surrey—White Rock.
The two men will be taking part in a meet and greet event at Semiahmoo Secondary School at around 10:30 am this Saturday.
Hogg is 70 years old and as such, is a longtime politician, previously serving on White Rock City Council for 20 years, including a decade as Mayor.
Since 1997, he served as a BC Liberals MLA for Surrey-White Rock, including stints in charge of various ministries.
However, last year the 70-year-old announced he would not run for provincial re-election, running for federal election instead.
In a release, Hogg said he was looking forward to welcoming Trudeau to the riding.
“This will be another important opportunity for Mr Trudeau to meet and hear ideas from families about how we can build a stronger community and a better Canada,” he said.
