Internet Cat Video Festival Vancouver

Dec 19 2017, 5:57 pm

Brace yourself for the aww-ing and LOLing that comes with a huge dose of cat cuteness, Vancouver is set to host its first ever “Just For Cats: Internet Cat Video Festival.”

The festival is coming to Vancouver and other Canadian cities following its premiere on April 17 at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Bell Lightbox where it will be introduced by Laureen Harper, the wife of Prime Minister Stephen Harper who is also a cat foster-mom and volunteer for Human Societies across the country. Canada’s first family currently takes care of four kittens including three rescued cats.

The screenings will include Nyan Cat, Lil Bub, Grumpy Cat, and the NONONONONO cat. It is a unique and fun opportunity to join fellow cat lovers in the laughing, crying and aww-ing as they make their way through old and new cat video favourites.

The date and exact location for the Vancouver screening has not been released. Proceeds will go towards the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies.
