IKEA Canada issues recall on lamps due to glass shades falling off

IKEA Canada has issued a recall for its Calypso ceiling lamps due to the risk of the glass shades falling and shattering.

The affected products have the article number 000.324 and were manufactured between the following date stamps (yyww):

• 1625
• 1744

According to Health Canada, as of September 25, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Approximately 7,285 lamps were sold in Canada (this includes affected and non-affected date stamps). The affected lamps were sold from August 2016 to September 2018.

The company urges all customers that owning a Calypso ceiling lamp produced within the affected date stamps to return the product to the returns and exchange department at any IKEA store
