IHIT activated after man found dead in South Surrey residence

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been activated after a man was found dead in a South Surrey residence.

According to a statement from the Surrey RCMP, police received a report of the deceased male on Monday evening, shortly before 9:30 pm.

He was found at a residence on the 2200 blocks of 152 Street.

RCMP say that IHIT has been activated and has started investigating.

“Early indications are that the incident was contained to the inside of the residence and that there is no ongoing threat to the public,” writes the Surrey RCMP.
