The biggest design event of the year returns to Vancouver this month

Summer is pretty much over, and fall is upon us — and you know what that means.

More time spent indoors, and less time spent outside (duh!). And with the transition to fall comes not only a change in our wardrobe, but also the perfect time to give your living space a big revamp ahead of those long, cold nights spent indoors.

After all, nobody wants to leave their home when it’s pouring outside!

Head over to the annual Interior Design Show (IDS) Vancouver, also known as the biggest design event of the year, which will be taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre from September 26 to 29. It’s time to get some serious design inspo.

Drop by the event to see hundreds of artists, makers, and design-centric brands come together in Vancouver to showcase their latest work, concepts and products.

If you’re interested in hearing some of the design world’s most notable and talented personalities (including Bruno Feldeisen, Executive Chef and Judge of “The Great Canadian Bake Show”) speak, this weekend gives you the chance to do so!

You can also take the opportunity to network with renowned designers who hail from Vancouver or use the city for their creative inspiration.

IDS Vancouver is an event for all ages too, so design lovers young and old can have a great time experiencing the installations and features.

The hall is completely stroller-friendly, so young kids are welcome to come along. As for older kids between the ages of 8 and 14, they can drop by and enroll in Youth Programming workshops while you explore the floor. That’s right, no need to organize someone to watch the kids while you attend the show!

Make sure you reserve time for the Edible Futures section, where you can discover the future of food with interactive audio tours and displays, or follow the whimsical journey of a seed in the Central Feature.

And lastly, head over to shop for your newest home décor at The District, where you’ll find an extensive selection of modern pieces.

Tickets for IDS Vancouver at the Vancouver Convention Centre are available now via their official website — early bird prices end September 25, so get in soon to avoid missing out!
