Over the weekend, Hollywood star (and heartthrob) Idris Elba officially took himself off the market when he proposed to his girlfriend, former Ms. Vancouver Sabrina Dhowre.

The proposal took place at London, England’s Rio Cinema on Saturday night before a screening of Elba’s new film Yardie.

The Elba and Dhowre met last year in Vancouver while Elba was in town to film “The Mountain Between Us” with actress Kate Winslet. When speaking with PEOPLE magazine about the making of the film, Elba said, “Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special.”

Dhowre was crowned Ms. Vancouver in 2014.
