Much-needed relief is making its way to eligible British Columbians this week in the form of ICBC rebate cheques.

As part of the 2025 B.C. Budget, the provincial government announced in March that a $110 rebate will be provided to eligible drivers, with payments expected in April 2025.

In a news release published this week, the Crown corporation said it has started delivering the 3.7 million rebates of $110 to eligible customers.

“As a result of prudent fiscal management and the strong financial position of ICBC, we have another opportunity to put money back into the pockets of ratepayers,” said Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General Garry Begg in a statement.

“This rebate is just one small way for ICBC to give back to its customers as we all navigate global economic uncertainty and increased costs in the face of unjustified tariffs.”

ICBC said the rebates total $410 million and will be made eligible for all personal and commercial customers who had an active Basic insurance policy in January 2025.

Those who are qualified to receive the rebate will receive a letter from ICBC detailing their rebate amount and payment method.

This is the fifth rebate ICBC customers have received since February 2021, totalling $640 in rebates for each eligible customer.
