Homicide team investigates death of 19-year-old in Whistler

Homicide investigators from the Lower Mainland are investigating the death of a 19-year-old male in Whistler.

Whistler RCMP responded to a call before 1 a.m. Sunday of a man with severe life-threatening injuries on Main Street in Whistler Village.

The victim was transported to Whistler Health Care Centre, but he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. The man was a resident of the Lower Mainland and his identity has been withheld at this time.

The cause of the death has not been released, but a number of people have been taking into police custody.
