Just in time for Chinese New Year, H Tasting Lounge in the Westin Bayshore has launched their first Eastern Afternoon Tea service.
It’s brand new, and it’s a pretty epic spread. For $48 per person, you get a selection of Eastern-inspired sandwiches and pastries presented in unique and delicate wrappings, ribbons, and dishes.

Oh, and they have a green cotton candy bonsai tree – so that’s a thing.
Presented in what reminds us of a Tiffany-blue oversized jewelry box, patrons who order this tea can look forward to a “Kung Pao” lobster roll with charcoal bread, a “Pekin Style” duck wrap made from a mini Chinese Pancake, and a Braised Abalone Tuna Tart garnished with gold flake.
For sweets you’ll receive a pineapple shortbread, a taro bomb stuffed with taro purée, a wife cake filled with sweet winter melon, and an almond cookie.
While the box of savoury and sweet selections feels like a well-rounded tea on their own, that’s not where this foodie adventure ends. The dessert course is next, and it includes a creamy egg tart, mango pomelo sago, and green tea mochi ice cream topped with a happy bear face.
The whole set is incredibly whimsical, and the intricate dishware (most of them flown in from Europe) make it an Insta-worthy affair.
Especially when you combine those elements with the lounge’s background of dreamy pastel and gold tones and marble-topped tables.
It’s obvious that the food during this service takes centre stage, but H Tasting Lounge also offers a great selection of loose leaf teas, and they even offer the option to bump up the fun with bubbly cocktails.
This tea will be available from 11:30 am to 9 pm from February 15 to 21. After that it will be available from 11:30 am to 5 pm daily.
