It looks like that weather warning issued by Environment Canada wasn’t completely off.
Although any form of snow or flurries has yet to hit Vancouver roads, skiers and snowboarders in our mountains have been getting a very welcome dose of fresh snow.
Environment Canada’s weather statement had mentioned that “a few centimetres” of snow would be possible for higher terrain and inland, but by the looks of it, Vancouver mountains seem to be dumping with powder.
Whistler Blackcomb, Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain, and Mount Seymour have all indicated on their website that weather conditions include heavy snow and temperatures are closing in on zero degrees.
The fresh powder comes at a great time, paving way for some weekend trips up to the mountain and hopefully stretching the season out a little bit longer.
Just hope that it doesn’t hit the streets; the last thing Vancouver needs is another Snowmageddon.
