Harbour Air has announced an expansion of its partnership with Aeroplan, becoming the first regional air transportation provider in B.C. to allow point redemptions.
The seaplane operator says that this gives members of the travel loyalty program “a new way to experience the Pacific Northwest Coast.”
According to a release from Harbour Air, the changes went into effect on Oct. 28, and customers can now redeem points for seats on eligible scheduled routes that are operated by Harbour Air.
This includes service between Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, and other coastal communities across B.C. and the Pacific Northwest.
Harbour Air says the new redemption feature is subject to availability and “applicable booking terms.”
The B.C. seaplane operator began offering Aeroplan point accrual back in December 2025, and Chief Commercial Officer Chris Fordyce says that they’ve been focused on growing the program and creating more value ever since.
“Our guests have already been earning Aeroplan points, and now they can redeem them for Harbour Air flights as well. It also opens the door for Aeroplan members to explore more of the Pacific Northwest,” said Fordyce.
Air Canada Vice President of Loyalty and Product Scott O’Leary said that they’ve seen a great response from Aeroplan since the partnership launched.
“Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a chance to explore B.C.’s beautiful coast, members now have another great way to put their Aeroplan points to use,” O’Leary said.
Harbour Air notes that scenic tours and charter services are not eligible for redemption.
Aeroplan reward bookings can be done through aircanada.com or the Air Canada app.
Harbour Air has been quite busy with its expansion in various ways. Earlier this year, we shared how it acquired another B.C. airline, Pacific Coast Airlines. The acquisition allows Harbour Air to unlock more destinations for guests.
Earlier this year, Harbour Air also unlocked a cool upgrade for its planes that no one asked for, but it received a great reaction — it installed bigger windows on some of its planes, which you can read about on Daily Hive Urbanized.
“You see, proactiveness like this is what keeps customers happy,” someone said in response.
