Legendary 'Dune' and 'The Lion King' composer coming to Vancouver's Rogers Arena

The award-winning composer behind some of the world’s most iconic movie soundtracks is coming back to Vancouver for a huge performance in 2027.

Hans Zimmer is bringing The Next Level Tour to Rogers Arena on Thursday, April 8, 2027.

Fans can expect to hear selections from Zimmer’s iconic catalogue of music, ranging from Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean to The Dark Knight and Interstellar.

Tickets for the “groundbreaking new production” will go on sale Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m.

“The Next Level reflects Zimmer’s relentless drive to push artistic boundaries, explore new paths and continually evolve his sound,” reads the artist’s website.

“Following its record-breaking run in Europe – where it ranked among the Top 10 tours worldwide in the first half of 2026 – the production continues its world tour through Asia and Australia before arriving in the U.S. and Canada.”

The famed German composer has won two Academy Awards, five Grammys, and three Golden Globes throughout his career.

“I want the fans to get a feeling like they’re at a rave or riding a roller coaster,” said Zimmer on his website.

“For me, every show is a new journey of discovery. The biggest challenge is the status quo – you must do everything in your power to leave that behind and find and create something new.”

Metallica also just announced that they’re coming to town for the first time in nearly a decade.

The nine-time Grammy Award winners are taking over BC Place on Saturday, May 8, 2027, for the M72 World Tour, and they’re bringing some special guests with them.

Joining Metallica for their Vancouver concert is none other than nu metal icons Limp Bizkit.
