How to enter the ticket lottery for this year's Half Corked wine marathon
The 12th annual Half Corked Marathon is happening on May 30, 2020, and while the run itself is months away, your only chance to get tickets is next week.
Because this 18-kilometre fun run through Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country is such a popular event, the tickets are allocated to those on a lottery-style list.
This is the only way to get one of the 1,500 highly coveted spots for the marathon weekend, which has grown to encompass a full two days of festivities including dinners, BBQs, and a concert series.

Participants enjoy the epic scenery of Canada’s most decorated wine region while sampling wines along the route (often while wearing imaginative costumes).
The marathon culminates with a party at the finish line complete with food, entertainment, and of course, more wine.

To enter the 2019 ticket lottery, you must sign up for the newsletter online or follow the Half Corked Marathon Facebook page, where information will be posted once registration is open, which will be from November 5 at 9 am to November 11 at 11:59 pm.
Random draws will take place after the sign-up period, after which winners will be notified on November 15, and those chosen from the database will have the chance to purchase two tickets for the 2020 event. Ticket sales will open November 17 — while stocks last!
Tickets for additional weekend events will be announced shortly. These include the pre-race Primavera Dinner and a series of vineyard winemaker dinners.
