Summer movies under the stars coming to North Shore mountain

Outdoor movie watching is a popular summertime tradition in Metro Vancouver, and now viewers can watch some of their favourites with a truly stunning backdrop.
Grouse Mountain has announced the return of the “On the Mountain” series, featuring a variety of live mountaintop entertainment throughout August and September.
Visitors can check out Mingler Wednesdays with beer tastings and a live DJ, Music on the Mountain on Sunday nights, and Yoga on the Mountain every Saturday morning.
Film lovers will also want to make plans for the weekly Movies on the Mountain nights from July 31 to Aug. 28.

Movies on the Mountain will screen on select Friday nights at the Birds in Motion Viewing Area. You’ll get to see classic comedies and family favourites along with majestic views of the Cascade Mountain Range.
Here is the lineup for this year’s summer movies under the stars at Grouse Mountain:
- Thursday, July 31 – The Parent Trap
- Thursday, Aug. 7 –Shrek
- Thursday, Aug. 14 – Mission Impossible: Fallout
- Thursday, Aug. 21 – The Lion King
- Thursday, Aug. 28 – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Movies will begin at sunset, so start times may vary. Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are asked to bring a blanket or cushion, bug spray, and a water bottle.

Tickets/Admissions: $29 Sunset Rate after 6 p.m. Purchase online
