This magical mountaintop skate pond is officially open for the winter season

Metro Vancouver’s magical mountaintop skate rink is officially open for the holiday season.

Grouse Mountain announced that its 8,000-sq-ft skate pond is ready for winter enthusiasts.

Guests can lace up their skates every day from 9 am to 10 pm and grab a cup of hot chocolate at the Peak Chalet after!

Access to the skate pond is complimentary with an Alpine Experience ticket, a Snow Pass, or an Annual Local’s Pass.

Equipment rentals are available in the Fireside Hut, or you can bring your own skates.

The rink has opened a week earlier than Grouse Mountain’s Peak of Christmas period, which is scheduled to start on November 23.

This popular holiday event includes skating, sleigh rides, a multi-lane snow sliding zone, a magical light tunnel, and visits with Santa.

Where: Grouse Mountain – 6400 Nancy Greene Way, North Vancouver

Time: 9 am to 10 pm
