
It’s festival season in Vancouver, which means there’s plenty of outdoor fun to be had as well as road closures that commuters need to be aware of to avoid weekend traffic.
On Sunday, June 22, Greek Day on Broadway returns from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Kitsilano.
The beloved celebration will feature a world of authentic Greek food and beverages from local shops and vendors, so bring your appetite. There will be souvlaki, spanakopita, loukoumades, and more. Admission is free.

There will also be plenty of vendors, community booths, and live entertainment to check out during the annual Greek Day.
The City of Vancouver is advising the public that W. Broadway will be closed on June 22 to Blenheim Street (including side streets to alleys – Mackenzie, Bayswater, Carnarvon, Balaclava, šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmasəm Musqueamview).
The road closures will be in place for the majority of the day, starting at 5 a.m. and ending at 11:30 p.m.

The City of Vancouver advises that emergency access will be maintained during this time.
Another Metro Vancouver street closure that drivers should be aware of is Front Street in New Westminster, which will be in effect from 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20, to 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 23.
According to Fraser Crossing Constructors GP (FCGP), the closure is necessary to allow crews to advance bridge deck construction in New West.
