UPDATED: Granville Street nightclub assault victim dies

UPDATE – The 28-year-old woman who was physically assaulted early Thursday outside Caprice Nightclub on Granville Street has died.

According to Vancouver Police, the incident occurred just before 2 am when the victim was assaulted by two other women. She reportedly had a brief altercation with the two women inside the club just minutes earlier.

The suspects fled from the scene after the attack. Approximately 30 minutes later, as they left a taxi near Hastings and Abbott streets, police arrested two women believed to be involved in the assault.
