Google Home is coming to Canada.
In fact, you can already pre-order it today. But the house-changing device will officially arrive on June 26.
Google Home was first announced last fall alongside their Pixel smartphone. And while it has been available in the US for a while now, we wouldn’t blame you for forgetting why you should be excited about this.
But trust us, you definitely should be excited.
Essentially, Google Home is Hi-Fi speaker that utilizes Google Assistant to do, well, pretty much anything and everything you could think of. It will play music, tell you the weather outside, play a movie on your TV in a different room, turn down the thermostat (if you’re living in a ‘smart’ home, obviously), tell you how to say something in a different language, add things to your calendar, and much, much more.
It’s like having having a personalized Google search bar… that you can talk to.
It’s always on, you simply activate it by saying ‘Ok Google’ and then follow up with whatever you want it to do.
And yes, you even have different colour options to choose from. ‘Cause failing to have your personal AI assistant match with your favourite hand-knotted Persian wool rug you picked up while
finding yourself backpacking in your youth is so 2016.
