Here's why renting a private pontoon will make your summer

May 16 2019, 12:15 am

Let us just start by acknowledging that summer in the city can get hectic.

As soon as the temperatures hit over 25 degrees, it seems like the entire population of Vancouver flocks to the beach to appreciate the short-lived sunshine. (We don’t blame them; sunny days in Vancouver are hard to come by.)

Sometimes, you just want to get away from the crowds. We get it. It’s not really that fun when you go to the beach and you can barely see the sand through the gigantic crowd of people there.

And although it may seem like getting a private boat out on the waters is a pipe dream that’s just slightly out of reach, Goldstar Marina Rentals in Downtown Vancouver wants to make it more accessible than ever for you to rent private pontoons and Sea-Doos.

Let’s talk a-boat it. (Sorry, we had to).

The company offers luxury pontoon boats that are a great way to enjoy a day out in the sun for both locals and tourists alike. And unlike a typical rental boat, pontoons are a lot more comfortable, stable, and hold a lot more people. There are barbecues onboard too, making them perfect for family days out, corporate events, birthday parties, and honestly, just a nice escape from the bustle of the city.

They also offer top of the line Sea-Doos, which are perfect for any thrillseekers who want to take to the waters and explore areas such as the False Creek, Burrard Inlet, Howe Sound, and around Vancouver.

All you need to rent a pontoon or Sea-Doo is a car licence, and you will receive a safety briefing giving you proof of competency and a one-day boat licence — it’s as simple as that! Renters must be over the age of 21 for a pontoon, and over the age of 19 for a Sea-Doo.

And when you head back to the office on Monday, here’s the scenario:

“Hey, what’d you do on the weekend?”

“Not much, just spent the day on a private boat.”

Just saying, could be you. Time to sea-s the day. (Okay we’re done).
