Girl Guide cookies are for sale online for the first time ever

Girl Guides of Canada has begun selling their iconic cookies online this year as the coronavirus pandemic makes traditional door-to-door sales untenable.
It’s the first time ever the organization is offering the cookies for purchase online. They’ve previously had online ordering options to donate cookies to local food banks, but this is the first time Canadians can buy them online to eat.
The traditional cream-filled cookies come in chocolate and vanilla flavour, and there’s a third chocolate-coated mint flavour too. A box of each type of cookie retails for $5.
“When you buy a box of cookies, you’re supporting girls build skills, make new friends and help their communities,” Girl Guides of Canada said on Twitter.
Cookie season has arrived – and we’re making it even easier to enjoy our chocolatey mint cookies. You can now order our famous cookies ONLINE!

Customers can order cookies tied to a Girl Guide they know, or order a box directly from Girl Guides of Canada. Parts of the website were experiencing technical difficulties Wednesday afternoon, and Girl Guides of Canada confirmed to Daily Hive they’re looking into it.
The organization creates programming for girls and teens to build confidence, often through outdoor adventures. Cookie sales finance many of the girls’ activities.
For those who want to instantly enjoy Girl Guide cookies, the sweet treats are also for sale in-person at Sobeys and London Drugs stores.
